Prince Harry strictly refused to speak about Prince William, Princess Kate and Andrew Mountbatten Windsor in a recent public project, it has been claimed. The Duke has just released a guide to processing grief through the self-help subscription service, MasterClass, where he revealed intimate details about grieving the loss of his mother, Princess Diana, who tragically died in a 1997 car crash in Paris. Harry revealed that he had spent years “suppressing grief” in a trailer. “In my 20s, I went to war twice thinking I could outrun my feelings, but that’s not what happened.”
However, he reportedly set some hard boundaries before agreeing to feature in the guide alongside neuroscientist Dr Mary-Frances O’Connor, who lost her own mother to cancer. Harry strictly refused to speak about his estranged brother, Prince William, it is claimed. Talking about their relationship or Princess Catherine could have risked stirring up further tensions between the siblings, who are understood not to have spoken in years.
“Harry was willing to talk about Diana, grief and losing his mother. What he wasn’t willing to discuss was William, Catherine or Uncle Andrew,” an insider told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice. “Those subjects were off-limits.”
