Thursday racing tips
- FONTWELL
2.10: Le Tiep’s Sacre 7/4 (1pt)
4.10: Koenigsstern 6/1 each-way (1pt) - WINCANTON
4.20: Saladins Son 5/4 (1pt)
Le Tiep’s Sacre
Le Tiep’s Sacre has all the potential and chance to get off the mark here for Gary & Josh Moore.
He’s given 10lb by Walk On High, an eight-year-old who’s still a maiden over hurdles, having gone close a couple of times.
The four-year-old as close behind Lawrenny the odds-on favourite in second and Tradecraft who ended up first at Sandown in February.
He’s a half-brother to Sir Gino, being by It’s Gino who has produced plenty of top hurdlers so there’s every chance he can progress after his first start in Britain last month.
Koenigsstern
Won over course and distance here on Boxing Day before a surprisingly poor attempt at Huntingdon, 23 lengths off the winner Flamelco in January.
He placed just ahead of Tommy Cullen though who then went on to win and then come a very close second subsequently, so clearly that race separated a few for the way it was run.
The eight-year-old has shown potential over fences and could well at least place at this nice price for an each-way play.
Saladins Son
This seven-year-old has gone 2-2 over fences at 3m1f so leads the pack unsurprisingly in the betting.
He’s won well on both those occasions and only upped 5lb from that latest course and distance victory, should be able to win again nicely against some inconsistent stayers.
