Wednesday, May 28, 2025

WTM London 2025 is poised to become the largest and most influential edition in its impressive 45-year history. Scheduled for Tuesday, November 4 to Thursday, November 6, 2025, this year’s event promises to build on the tremendous success of the 2024 edition, driven by the growing demand for global travel and the expanded capabilities of Excel London.

The 2024 edition witnessed a significant surge in participation, with an 11% increase in qualified buyers and over 34,000 pre-scheduled meetings taking place. The introduction of the Capital Hall and Auditorium level at Excel London played a pivotal role in boosting the event’s capacity, providing space for more exhibitors and enriching the overall visitor experience. With the introduction of an additional 25,000 m² in 2025, representing a 25% expansion of Excel, WTM London is set to take the event’s growth to new heights, offering expanded exhibition space, more engaging content, and deeper levels of interaction across the global travel industry.

WTM Trend Fest: A New Cultural Addition to the Event

One of the most exciting innovations for WTM London 2025 is the introduction of WTM Trend Fest—a cultural program dedicated to showcasing immersive, global experiences. This new addition underlines WTM’s commitment to leading the charge on the most impactful travel trends. The program will provide a platform for exhibitors to display their creative and innovative products and services through activations on a new cultural stage. With themes spanning wellness, pop culture, gastronomy, sport, and adventure, WTM Trend Fest promises to add an interactive, dynamic element to the event, featuring live performances, sponsored activations, and daily presentations designed to captivate attendees.

Exhibitor Growth and Engagement: Preparing for Record-Breaking Participation

The exhibitor numbers for WTM London 2025 are already looking strong, following the 8% growth seen in 2024, where more than 4,000 exhibitors participated. This year, early indicators suggest that exhibitor participation will set new records, further establishing WTM London as the premier global event for the travel and tourism industry. The event will continue to expand its appeal, covering a diverse range of sectors—from destinations and experiences to transport, accommodation, and cutting-edge tech solutions.

To take the exhibitor experience to the next level, WTM London will debut its live TV channel in 2025, called WTM TV. Designed to engage and inform audiences, WTM TV will offer exhibitors new levels of visibility both at the venue and online, enabling them to connect with a broader audience, showcase their innovations, and share key insights with global attendees. With a focus on education, engagement, and industry connection, WTM TV will serve as a valuable resource, providing exclusive access to the latest trends and developments within the global travel landscape.

Influence at the Policy Level: Uniting Global Leaders

WTM London has long been a critical platform for policy discussions in the tourism industry. The 2024 edition saw a 12% increase in the number of Tourism Ministers, with over 50 ministers attending from around the world. This participation underscores the event’s growing significance as a key venue for driving forward discussions on international tourism. The 2025 Ministers’ Summit, in collaboration with UN Tourism and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), will bring together an even more influential lineup of global policymakers. The summit will serve as a high-level forum for discussing key issues impacting the global travel sector and will offer opportunities for deeper collaboration between governments and the private sector.
