Tuesday horse racing tips
- NEWTON ABBOT
1.58: Lord 8/11 (1.5pts)
3.28: Puddlesinthepark 7/2 (1pt)
Lord
Owned by Fools And Horses the odds-on favourite has a huge chance to add to what is already proving to be a promising career with trainer Olly Murphy.
This trainer has a great strike-rate in these kinds of races and with Sean Bowen on board for this winning combo it only helps this gelding’s chances.
Lord won over hurdles last time out in maiden company at Fontwell winning well, justifying an odds-on price.
For that he receives a 7lb penalty and these three-year-olds are still getting used to hurdling so it’s key for that winning form.
However, Yellow Card making his hurdling debut looks dangerous – looking at pedigree alone makes this interesting.
But more so the trainer Mickey Bowen and jockey James Bowen enjoying plenty of recent success that suggests this horse will also be running very well.
Puddlesinthepark
Puddlesinthepark has completely turned around his winning form, winning three in succession over fences having previously only had one win in 17, and all these chase wins came this calendar year.
Ought to keep progressing on that basis as his last win was also a big victory under Adam Wedge.
Now he goes back to having Osian Radford on board, claiming 10lb which will also help his chances back over hurdles.
His hurdling mark is 5lb lower and that makes this bet more appealing too.
