José Santiago, president of the Excelencias Group, and Eduardo Zorzanello, CEO of Festuris – Gramado International Tourism Fair and son of the late Silvia Zorzanello, presented the award to Alagoas at the event. Marília Herrmann, the Executive Secretary of Tourism for Alagoas, accepted the trophy on behalf of the state’s Tourism Secretary, Bárbara Braga, marking a moment of pride for the region.

During the ceremony, Eduardo Zorzanello highlighted the state’s leading role in the Brazilian and international tourism scene. “We must thank Secretary Bárbara Braga for the wonderful work that the state of Alagoas has been doing. This destination boasts a thriving tourism sector, significant development, sustainability, and incredible natural beauty. And for us, it is a source of pride, since 2011, to see my mother’s name immortalized here and, each year, to be able to return to this space that keeps Festuris, her memory, and all the work done alive. Congratulations, Alagoas,” he stated.
