Asda has announced a weekly competition that gives shoppers the chance to win a £500 voucher in the lead up to Christmas. Christmas celebrations can be a costly affair, especially with households having to contend with profound cost of living pressures. Brits face a multi-pronged assault on their budgets, with soaring energy costs, food inflation, and high interest rates impacting the price of mortgages – and the outgoings associated with Christmas are another factor to contend with.
Asda acknowledged that many are conscious about the cost of the seasonal event, as it announced a voucher competition to help soften the blow. The supermarket chain, which has more than 1,000 stores across the UK, will be giving a total of seven families a £500 Asda voucher to help cover the cost of Christmas.
It’s a social media competition across its Facebook and Instagram accounts, with one family winning a £500 voucher every weekend in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The competition begins today (Friday, November 6) and runs until Friday 18th December.
Asda said the voucher is aimed to “take care of everything from the Christmas dinner to the festive trimmings”, as well as “magical finishing touches to some extra presents under the tree”. Each week, the competition will go live on a Friday at 10am and close on the following Sunday at 10am.
To enter, all you need to do is follow the official Asda on Instagram and Facebook pages and comment GINGERBREAD on the competition post.
One winner will then be chosen and contacted from the official Asda Instagram or Facebook page.
