Eurostar users have been warned by the Money Saving Expert to redeem their loyalty scheme points ahead of October 29 ahead of a shake-up.
From the end of October you will need more points to claim the same rewards with Club Eurostar.
The scheme is completely free to join, and enables customers to earn points to redeem on future purchases when buying tickets.
Depending on how many tickets you have purchased, you will be in a different loyalty tier, with each giving the option to earn more points and unlocking further perks.
The different tiers are as follows:
Avantage: 500 to 2,899 points. Every time you earn points at the standard rate, you’ll earn a 25% points bonus.
Carte Blanche: 2,900 to 4,999 points. Every time you earn points at the standard rate, you’ll earn a 50% bonus.
Étoile: 5,000 or more points. Every time you earn points at the standard rate, you’ll earn a 75% bonus.
From October 30 the change will mean you will need 1,100 (100 more points) for a standard one way ticket to or from London.
Martin Lewis states that you can still purchase tickets for travel after this date with your points.
You are also able to convert points into money off your booking, which is due to remain the same.
In order to make the most of your points Lewis urges customers to purchase travel as soon as possible.
He also adds that tickets for travel between France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, plus upgrades to these tickets, will not be impacted by the changes.
