A new royal wedding is on the horizon after a European royal house announced an engagement. Prince Georg of Liechtenstein is now engaged to Princess Maria-Nives von der Leyen. The joyous news was announced on the Princely House of Liechtenstein.

Georg, 27, is the third child of Hereditary Prince Alois, the heir apparent to the throne of Liechtenstein, and Hereditary Princess Sophie. A statement read: “H.S.H. the Hereditary Prince and H.R.H. the Hereditary Princess von und zu Liechtenstein are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, Prince Georg, to Princess Maria Nives Princess von der Leyen.”

Princess Maria-Nives is the youngest daughter of Prince Philipp von der Leyen and Princess Elisabeth von der Leyen.

She was born on February 13, 2001, in Germany.

She has got a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West London and is now working for a marketing agency in Vienna.

Georg was born on April 20, 1999, in Switzerland.

In 2023, he graduated from ESCP Business School in Turin and Berlin with a Bachelor of Science in Management.

He has worked for growth-oriented technology companies in Berlin and now in New York.

The statement added: “The wedding is scheduled for late summer next year and will take place in Germany.”
