Powerball has officially launched in the UK, giving British players the chance to compete for a huge £300 million jackpot in the first draw available to them on July 23. Tickets are priced at £4 each and must be purchased by 11.55pm on July 22 to be entered into the draw alongside players in the United States, where the game is renowned for producing some of the largest lottery jackpots in the world.
To play, participants must choose five main numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26, or alternatively select a Lucky Dip.
Ticket sales typically close at 11.55pm every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with draws taking place at the Florida Powerball studio. Results are usually available in the UK at around 4am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The odds of winning any prize are approximately one in 14, while the jackpot amount can grow significantly through rollovers and has previously exceeded £1 billion.
