Monday horse racing tips

  • LEICESTER
    2.10: All Too Beautiful 3/1 (1pt)
    3.18: Spacewoman 3/1 (1pt)
    4.30: Participle 4/1 (1pt)
  • HAMILTON
    2.23: Nevasca Cinza 7/2 (1pt)
    2.58: Jungle Monarch 3/1 (1pt)
  • FONTWELL
    3.05: Somespring Special 9/2 e/w (1pt)

All Too Beautiful

Ahamoment is being looked at in the betting going from 4’s into 11/4.

The only concern with him is that he’s six-years-old and doesn’t have the best of strike-rates, but is clearly getting better in form.

All Too Beautiful a three-year-old filly gets a small advantage in the weights for facing older rivals and the opposite sex but it only translates to carrying 4lb less than the favourite.

The filly won two starts ago at Windsor and then registered a 2nd at Bath earlier this month.

That second was a great run only to be denied by a strong finisher where she had the rest beat 1f out.

Spacewoman

Nicola Currie is on board this Space Blues filly who looks capable of more after her first three runs – running off the same mark as Perfect Location who has a win already to her name.

Spacewoman is an interesting two-year-old who certainly looks like she has a big run in her and that could come here in a wide open contest.

Participle

Next up is Participle who’s a tad more unexposed than a few of these.

And my concern with the favourite in this race, Majaz, is that he’s been beaten three times in a row now at short odds favouritism including one run at 2/9.

This Ralph Beckett-trained Juddmonte-owned horse has placed 3rd twice in a row now and looks capable of more over 1m2f having showed promise over this distance at Newmarket two starts ago.

Nevesca Cinza

Really interesting two-year-old for Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore who team up to operate under one training licence.

This grey colt by Havana Grey looks the part and was even backed in from 20/1 into 9/4 for his debut.

Clearly there’s lots of potential to warrant that support and he nearly justified that move too as he recovered from a poor start to finish third.

Should go much better today and goes up against two others yet to win at shorter odds, so is great value.

Jungle Monarch

Solid form in defeat over 5f and didn’t shape as though the step up to 6f last time out is the right move for this horse at the moment.

So the return to this sprint distance is very appealing off a handy mark having gone close in a three-way go for the line at Musselburgh in a Class 2 novice contest last month.

Somespring Special

Alien Storm has been at or just around this mark for his last six runs and has also ran unpredictably in two of his last three.

His win at Plumpton in a Class 3 novice chase only saw a rise of 2lb and that was clearly the right move from the handicapper as anything more seems like it would have prevented him further.

Off since April but can go well fresh so is an interesting one, but not one with confidence.

Somespring Special who comes here in good form did go for a wind op in July and also goes well fresh.

The mare has been great over fences recording a good strike-rate over both that and hurdles.

She looked to be going close at Worcester in June on her last run before falling two out and could have gone even closer.
