Royal Family LIVE: Meghan risks ‘mistake’ in Victoria Beckham warning | Royal | News

Meghan Markle could be about to learn underestimating Victoria Beckham would be a “serious mistake” as the duchess moves back to Britain amid a reported rift between the pair. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan made a surprise return to the UK on Wednesday last week their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after six years living in the US.

But the Sussexes time abroad saw them distance themselves from Victoria and David Beckham after it was reported Meghan suspected the latter power couple of leaking information to the press. Harry, 41, is understood to have confronted football icon David, 51, directly leaving the England legend apoplectic.

David and Victoria, 52, are superstars both sides of the pond, but Harry and Meghan, 45, have struggled to secure public backing in the US and left some cold back home after a reported rift with the Royal Family, although the King welcomed the Sussexes and his grandchildren to his Highgrove home last month. But Harry’s older brother Prince William is the president of the English Football Association and works closely with David, the King too is known to be a fan.

Royal expert Rob Shuter, writing in his latest Naughty but Nice substack, cited insiders who warned “underestimating Beckham power is making a serious mistake”.

A confidant confided: “The UK may not be big enough for Meghan and Victoria. If London society is choosing tables, Victoria wins.

“The Beckhams have fashion, football, celebrities, billionaires, media and royalty. Meghan cannot compete with decades of those relationships.”

Referencing the moment the Sussexes accused the Beckhams of leaks to the press, source continued: “That was the moment Victoria was done. She believed Meghan questioned their loyalty and embarrassed David. Victoria can forgive plenty. Disloyalty isn’t one of them.”
