Ukraine says it held talks with the United States on supporting defence projects under a joint fund. The discussions included Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and took place during the G-7 summit in Canada, according to Ukrainian officials on Wednesday.
The two countries established a joint reconstruction fund as part of a deal allowing the United States access to Ukrainian minerals. Kyiv hopes this will pave the way for more support against Russia’s full-scale invasion.
