Supermarket Morrisons is bringing in a new feature in 350 of its stores. The supermarket has expanded its collaboration with Amazon by introducing the ecommerce giant’s return kiosks across its UK stores.
Customers will be able to shop in a “convenient, and time-saving way” as they will be able to return Amazon parcels while doing their weekly shop. The return kiosks are fully automated, allowing customers to return eligible items in “just a few easy steps”.
If you’re hoping to do this in the future, you will first need to initiate the return through your Amazon account.
After following the prompts, you will be able to scan your QR code at the kiosk and drop off the item you’d like to return.
If you’re wondering where to find the kiosks, they will be based next to the Amazon Locker or the customer service desks in Morrisons stores.
The rollout is expected to be completed in early 2026, reports Retail Gazette.
Morrisons head of services John Parry said: “With parcel deliveries now a part of everyday life for most people in the UK, the introduction of Amazon return kiosks in our stores make it simple for customers to return parcels during their weekly shop, making it easier than ever before.
“This convenient new service adds to our existing range of in-store offerings to help our customers and give them more reasons to shop at Morrisons.”
Just last week, Morrisons announced a slowdown in the checkout process at select tills.
The supermarket chain has rolled out Talking Tills across its stores, providing customers with the opportunity to take their time at the checkout.
The Talking Tills initiative was launched last week, with staff members offering customers a more leisurely checkout experience, and the chance to engage in friendly conversation with anyone who might appreciate a bit of banter.
David Scott, Corporate Affairs Director at Morrisons, commented: “At Morrisons, supporting the communities we serve is at the heart of what we do. We know that for many people, especially at this time of year, a simple conversation can make a real difference.
“The Talking Tills campaign is designed to create space for those meaningful moments, offering customers the chance to slow down and chat if they’d like to.”
Daniel Robinson, Editor of Good Morning Britain, stated: “In the 10 years since we launched our 1 Million Minutes campaign, we have brought together thousands of volunteers with thousands of people experiencing loneliness and isolation around the UK.
“And this year feels more urgent than ever, with rising prices in the shops and pressure on families, it’s so easy to feel disconnected.”
