A section of the M60 motorway was blocked this afternoon after two separate crashes caused disruption to traffic. The first incident occurred on the anticlockwise carriageway at Junction 15, near the Swinton Interchange, leading to restrictions in the area as emergency services responded.
The second incident occurred on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 1, near the Stockport Pyramid, and Junction 2, where two lanes were closed following a separate collision.
Sharing an update on X, National Highways said: “M60 clockwise between J1-J2 has lanes 1 and 2 (of 3) closed due to a collision. Emergency services are in attendance. There’s delays in excess of 30 minutes on approach with 4 miles of congestion.”
