Big Boy Barney
Is very well-weighted on the back of that second after his debut over hurdles last time out.
Fergal O’Brien has been notching the winners already recently but could certainly be getting more as the season continues to really get underway.
He carries 7lb less than the favourite yet would be rated just a touch above him, so should be well-in.
Ballintubber Boy
Ballintubber Boy has seven wins from 16 races over hurdles and hasn’t been seen in this discipline since last year.
Went well over fences on his first two starts but didn’t justify an odds-on price either time and so a return to hurdles looks like bringing out the best of him again, just 2lb up from his last win.
Rock Melody
Rock Melody has won this race twice now and yet that accounts for 33% of her total wins in his flat turf career and 66% of her total wins.
Her form going into these races aren’t always encouraging so you can’t rule her out off this low mark.
She’s facing a few rivals that have yet to even win over this distance which boosts her chances, especially carrying a stone less than Bellarchi and Jannas Journey.
Welljudged
Promising second on debut and looks like she could take a step forward on her second run.
Thaisa is a close contender in the odds but has four runs behind her already and not quite progressed beyond her mark, which Welljudged looks to achieve sooner for in-form trainer Roger Varian.
