An increasingly desperate Sarah Ferguson could by plotting an explosive memoir which would present a potentially existential threat to the increasingly battered Royal Family, Amanda Platell has claimed. The former Duchess of York is now grappling with homelessness and evaporating income, while revelatory emails depicting her cosy rapport with Jeffrey Epstein have obliterated her remaining credibility, pushing her towards desperate measures. Whispers of an incendiary book have escalated, promising exposures of her Epstein ties, royal confidences, and estrangement from Princess Diana.
Ms Platell told Women’s Day Ms Ferguson a “very dangerous woman,” asserting that desperation could propel her to scheme and divulge her royal tribulations, posing the monarchy’s gravest threat. She warned that, driven by penury, the ex-Royal might “do a Harry” by aping Prince Harry’s Spare, unearthing decades of palace secrets for princely sums from eager publishers and streamers. She explained: “The biggest threat to the monarchy is surely that a penniless, homeless Fergie is scheming to spill her royal sob story. Why, she must be thinking, shouldn’t she ‘do a Harry’ and expose the secrets of the family she’s known for decades?” Publishers and streaming giants “would pay a king’s ransom” for her story, Ms Platell suggested, adding: “There is anxiety that these notebooks could form the backbone of a highly lucrative tell-all.”
