The actor, who has become well-renowned for playing the role of Steve Rogers, aka Captain America in the MCU for over a decade, seemingly left the $32 billion franchise behind during the final moments of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, is not only coming back for another action-packed superhero adventure, but he’s also coming home to Boston.

This August, fans will have the chance to meet Chris Evans at FAN EXPO Boston during the ultimate weekend of fandom, with exclusive opportunities for autographs and professional photo ops. In what is being described as a “monumental homecoming,” Boston’s own Chris Evans, one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars, is returning to his roots at FAN EXPO Boston 2026. Taking place August 7-9 at the Thomas Michael Menino Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport District, this marks the first time Evans will meet fans in his hometown as part of the pop-culture phenomenon.

Born in Boston and raised in Sudbury, Massachusetts, Evans launched his career in community theater before becoming one of the most accomplished actors in film and television. Having portrayed the Marvel icon Steve Rogers in 11 Marvel Studios films and set to reprise the role in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, releasing on December 18, 2026, Evans’ appearance at FAN EXPO Boston is a full-circle moment that celebrates both his incredible journey and the city that shaped him.
Fans will have the rare opportunity to meet the man behind the shield on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9.
