U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has named Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey as a co-deputy director of the FBI, where he will work alongside Dan Bongino.
“My life has been defined by a call to service, and I am once again answering that call, this time at the national level. But wherever I am called, Missouri is and always will be home,” Bailey stated.
He thanked President Donald Trump and Bondi for appointing him: “I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Co-Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”
Bondi said she is thrilled to welcome Bailey, noting that his experience as a “distinguished attorney general” for Missouri and “a decorated war veteran” will bring expertise to the role.
“His leadership and commitment to country will be a tremendous asset as we work together to advance President Trump’s mission,” the attorney general said in the statement.
